This May...

What a busy month this has been.  We've had many ups and downs.
Our strong willed Brynlyn has decided that Spiderman is the coolest thing ever.  She begs to watch Spiderman cartoons, find spiderman clothes and really wants an action figure for her birthday!  Crazy but fun, she is still a girly girl...  just tough at the same time.
Peyton loves the extra attention she gets from me when Brynlyn is at school.  We usually run errands once a week after taking Brynlyn to school.  Peyton asked me to take her picture when we were shopping.  She is a little spitfire and we still struggle with her not wanting to eat.  She has absolutely no desire to be potty trained at almost 3 years old.
We have missed this little man in our daily life's.  Finally we made it to his house for a play date.  The girls had a blast, but we had to cut it short to get Brynlyn to school.
We finally used our ice cream machine (an unopened wedding gift, sorry if you gave it to us) after seven years of sitting in the cupboard.  The girls think it is the best thing ever and ask almost every night if we can make a new flavor of ice cream after dinner.  We give in once or twice a week. :)
I got the chance to join Brynlyn's class for Careers on wheels day at school.  Her teacher is the best and let me bring Peyton and Miyah so I could be a part of the day.  The little girls were pretty good while we toured some of the cool vehicles.  It became very hot out and I headed to the classroom about 30 minutes early to get my munchkins out of the heat.  Brynlyn loved showing off her sisters and had a blast.  We saw firetrucks, fedex, ups, usps, landscaping trucks, police vehicles and much more.
Mothers Day was super "sweet"!  The girls thought I could use some candy.  And they got me a counter height cutting table for my sewing room! I am so spoiled thanks to my sweet husband.
This super cuddly, happy girl started crawling on May 10th.  She is very mobile and fast!  Her big sisters don't know what to think about her mobility.  They don't like sharing toys very much.
Brynlyn and her friend Emily have spent a lot of time together this month.  On Wednesday, May 2, 2012 Emily's mom was in the hospital and she stopped breathing.  She could not be resuscitated.  It has been a very rough, emotional time for us.  We have done as much as we can for our neighbors and friends in this very hard time.  I have fed their family many times and helped the newly single dad get his daughters to school, fixed hair, helped with homework and so much more.  My heart breaks for this family.  I miss talking with Cherie as we waited for our girls to get off the bus, and watched them play in the backyard.  I can't imagine not being here to watch my girl's grow up.
Mother's day was extra emotional for me, knowing that next door this family was feeling very lonely.
Brynlyn's teacher organized themed baskets for them...  It was amazing to see the love and support from the entire elementary.  We delivered over 20 huge gift baskets filled with food, clothes, gift cards, cleaning supplies, and so much more.
What a crazy month, and it's not over!
