a little Sport

Table tennis, also known as ping-pong, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight, hollow ball back and forth.
We love the game! Brynlyn try's very hard to compete with her dad. Someday she might hit the ball in the right direction. For now it's a great family activity that takes up my entire living room.
Brynlyn often begs to fold the table down and play.
It was meant to go in the garage after Christmas last year. But it's stuck in the house forever I'm afraid! Might as well enjoy my permanent decoration and make some memories.

Surprise visitor

Grandma came for a few days to help and brought Lydia to surprise Brynlyn!
The girls had so much fun. They have a love/hate relationship, but got along surprisingly well this trip!
The girls spent a lot of time outside.
They played hard, then crashed by afternoon each day!
Swinging was a favorite for all three girls!
They were so dirty after being outside most of the day! So we served dinner on the patio.
I am so glad these cute girls can grow up together.
I am very thankful for my mom's help all weekend. She had the girls by herself on Saturday. While I taught a Scrapbook class at the Stake Activity days girls camp. There were about 130 girls split into six classes. It was a whirlwind of a day but lots of fun. I was so busy I forgot to take pictures of my cute decorated classroom and the huge pile of projects the girls finished! Maybe next year.

First day of Pre-School

Brynlyn's first day of Pre-School was awesome! Thanx to Grammy, we made it on time. Even with a sick mommy. Brynlyn said her day was "exciting and fun". She looked so cute wearing her huge pink backpack with her hair done pretty! She was happy to show Grammy her homework page that she had completed all about herself.

I am so proud of our big girl. After two weeks of school she has decided she misses mom and cry's when I drop her off. Luckily she is fine shortly after and enjoy's every minute of her new adventure!

A Love of Books

Peyton recently found a way to climb on Big Sister's tall trundle bed. This is now her favorite spot in the house. She will sit quietly for 2o minutes or so just sorting through books.
Instructions for climbing bed much taller than yourself:
1. empty pajama drawer underneath trundle bed.
2. climb into drawer.
3. use comforter of bottom trundle to pull self up.
4. continue climbing to next level grabbing top comforter to pull up.
5. excitedly crawl to bookshelf
6. enjoy Books!
I can't wait to catch her in the act with video camera close by and record it. It's a big process for such a little girl!

So precious!

Cooper and Anjuli recently welcomed precious little Porter to their family. Brynlyn was so excited to meet this little guy and visit our friends. She wanted to be in charge of opening presents if Anjuli was busy.
I can't believe how tiny this little guy is in comparison to my girls. They grow so darn fast!! I had so much fun making this gift, and Anjuli was very cute when she opened it! Totally worth it.
Hanging with Cooper!Entertainment for the evening! The girls both love to dance and show off.

handmade gifts!

Peyton testing the floor cushion I made for my Sister in laws birthday! I love the fabric. If my bedroom wasn't brown and tan I would recover my rocking chair in this yummy paisley!
First attempt at baby booties. If you can't tell, I love Paisley's! Made these for a cousin's new sweet little princess. Can't wait to make more and in many different fabric's.This super cute ring toy was the trickiest project I have done so far! Circles are very sneaky. I loved making this gift even though it took forever... totally worth it to see the recipients smile!
That's what I've been up to the last couple months - in my free time. Usually after the kids are in bed.

Thoughtful girl

After playing at a water park we headed home tired and hungry!
While I changed Peyton's diaper upstairs...
Ms. Brynlyn was downstairs very busily setting up our lunch to surprise me!
So excited to share her picnic with me.
Describing each item she had set out for the picnic, and asking if it would be okay to share a plate!
There was hesitation on Brynlyn's part in sharing with her sister, but she came around! What a great afternoon with my sweet daughters. We put all housework and to do list's aside for the day and just played.

All dressed up

We had time to kill before church.
The girls were being silly, so I grabbed the camera.
We had tons of fun twirling and playing in our Sunday best. Sweet moments are the best!

The important stuff...

Taking time to relax and watch cartoons is a total must! Brynlyn and Trystan really enjoy lounging together, as long as they don't touch each others blanket's!
Spinning = quality time with dad. Almost puking is part of the fun!
Sweetest little snuggly man!
Climbing into spaces and sometimes getting stuck is all in a day's work at our house!
I love documenting all the little memories that happen each day.

Time spent at the cabin...

is pure fun! Brynlyn took full advantage of the swing sets on the property, especially the tire swing! Grandpa, Grandma and Kyle usually ended up pushing her high as possible.
I had fun shooting animals and nature with my camera While Chad was off hunting and not shooting anything with his bow, so sad! He does have good stories to tell of missed deer!
Damen and Brynlyn enjoyed smores at the campfire until they couldn't possibly eat more.

Nature hikes were enjoyed each day.

Time with loved ones is my favorite! My mom and Grandma.
Cousin's coloring together, and sharing pretty well I might add!
Lydia and Peyton love Grandma!

The Farm

Collecting eggs for breakfast, with help from Uncle Monty
Brynlyn was very excited to be at the Farm. A little nervous about the chickens, but she assured me it would be okay!
Feeding the cows some hay! Peyton was in complete awe with all the animals.
We wish there was more time to play at the farm, but we needed to get to the cabin for our weekend vacation and hunting!
Thanks Monty & Carla for letting us hang out at the Farm, we had a blast!

Thrify finds...

I recently stopped by the DI to look for furniture and fabric.
I spent a total of $12 and came home with over 12 yards of fabric!
Pretty good shopping trip, I think.
Brynlyn and I have been making fun clothing items- dress up, everyday wear, doll clothes and more. Chad thought they were a bit old fashioned. But, I could not be happier with my findings. Plenty of scraps to be creative with!
