I freaked out inside, but kept my calm and told ms. Brynlyn we needed to get to the doctors. She started to sob, thinking she could never go to dance class. After a few phone calls... I had Angela (lifesaver) lined up to meet me early for dance. A doctors appointment for Peyton and advice from Aunt Larue who has a son with major peanut allergies. I quickly got dressed again and headed to meet Angela, then to the doctor!
Our doctor was awesome and gave Peyton a dose of Benadryl the moment we got there. We will be doing allergy testing after she turns one. The doctor also checked her tongue which was a bit swollen and her lungs that were just fine. He went over a list of foods that are common allergens for baby's and suggested we stay away from those. Introducing new foods will be tricky at our house, but the doc said use caution. He also said the first few reactions to peanuts or other foods are usually not to bad, but get worse each time and cause big issues.
Looks like my little one has a severe allergy to Peanuts or Chocolate. Poor baby was swollen for 2 days and oh so grouchy!!!
