A frantic mom...

Our morning began like normal with 2 little munchkins playing in my bathroom, while I got ready for the day. Next we head downstairs for breakfast and spill an entire bowl of cereal on my pants. I take my pants off and continue with breakfast. Brynlyn wanted to share her breakfast with Peyton. Reese's Puffs cereal(so healthy, I know). At least my picky eater ate something for breakfast! Peyton starts whining and rubbing her face. Within seconds of eating a few Reeses Puffs her face was bright red with swollen white splotches all over!
I freaked out inside, but kept my calm and told ms. Brynlyn we needed to get to the doctors. She started to sob, thinking she could never go to dance class. After a few phone calls... I had Angela (lifesaver) lined up to meet me early for dance. A doctors appointment for Peyton and advice from Aunt Larue who has a son with major peanut allergies. I quickly got dressed again and headed to meet Angela, then to the doctor!

Our doctor was awesome and gave Peyton a dose of Benadryl the moment we got there. We will be doing allergy testing after she turns one. The doctor also checked her tongue which was a bit swollen and her lungs that were just fine. He went over a list of foods that are common allergens for baby's and suggested we stay away from those. Introducing new foods will be tricky at our house, but the doc said use caution. He also said the first few reactions to peanuts or other foods are usually not to bad, but get worse each time and cause big issues.

Looks like my little one has a severe allergy to Peanuts or Chocolate. Poor baby was swollen for 2 days and oh so grouchy!!!

helping hands

These 2 little munchkins are helping me put away dishes.
More like removing everything from the cupboard!

Birthday dude!

Brynlyn and Grandma made Chad's cake!
Brynlyn went shopping to pick the perfect present for her dad.... a box of fruit roll ups!
I adore this smile, even when it's all gooey and slobbery! I think she can see her dad's cake! Blowing out the candles!
Peyton testing out Dad's new bag from Grandpa & Grandma!

Yard work

This is Brynlyn's version of Yard work, get comfy in a shady spot with a drink. Then watch and direct the workers! Funny kid!
Grandma digging up weeds and plants!
Chad and Brynlyn
Chad and Grandpa... they moved the entire backyard of gravel into one huge pile!
Hopefully soon we will have grass for the kids to play! Yaaaa!
Thanx for the cheap labor Dad and Mom!

randomness

This month we had a surprise visit from my older brothers. In town for work on a Saturday morning! It was a lot of fun to hang out with them for a couple hours. Brynlyn was so excited to give them birthday presents in person, rather than sending them by mail.
Then our good friends Bryson and Marissa had their new baby girl. We got to visit them when she was just 2 days old, and what a pretty baby!

I've been neglecting my crafty side for a while. It felt great to finish a few projects sitting on my desk. The girls bows, hair clips, flowers headbands, etc... are taking over our second bathroom. I made this holder from a plain wood frame with a little paint, vinyl, ribbon and my sewing machine. So much fun!

The finished product looks cute and we can see the bathroom counter again!

Crane fun

Chad brought Brynlyn's bike to our last family party.
Most of the kids and some adults took a turn!
Brynlyn was more excited about the crane and being really high in the air! It's a common thing to see people hanging from the work crane.
A fun tradition, many of the kids have learned to Repel from the crane.
Peyton and Baylee enjoyed each other laughing and watching the other kids in the air.

I think 5 kids were attached to the crane and loving every minute.

Great memories!

Conference

Smiling girls... after finding easter baskets hidden around the house!
Brynlyn with her very own MP3 player.
Not my favorite picture of me, but so sweet of Brynlyn. She slept sound through the morning session of conference.
Playing with dad between sessions. Brynlyn loved that she could watch church in her pj's and cuddle with us on the couch.

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was a lot of fun! We spent Saturday morning riding, playing in the dirt, finding easter eggs, eating and hanging out with the family!
We captured tons of pictures... too many to post. Here is a glimpse of our fun.

Brynlyn's Eggs!

Brynlyn and I waited until the little ones were sleeping to set up the egg coloring supplies! This has been a very anticipated event for Brynlyn. Every day for the past few weeks(since I got the Easter bin out of storage) she asks "is today Easter Egg decoration day"???

She colored most of them by herself, and loved the dipping part. Brynlyn sat at the table for almost two hours making sure each egg had something special!

She is a very artsy girl and loves to do projects with me!

Sweet Peyton!

She is such a fun baby and usually very happy!
Teething has started... she is not okay with this.
She wants to be held as much as possible, and is biting everything imaginable!
She claws and hits trying to grab anything to push against her mouth.
I can't wait for these teeth to come through so we can have our squeaky, happy, sweet and perfect little baby girl back!
