Bauer Family Reunion

Finally posting a very small portion of the pictures we took at the Reunion on July 10th. It was a very good time. Yummy food, the cool mountain air and hanging out with tons of family!
The four of us posing for Grandma!

I think Brynlyn and Peyton's favorite part about the cabin was the swing set! Grandpa spoiled them, pushing them and holding Peyton who said "weeee, weee wo" the entire time!
My beautiful Aunt's and mother! All six sister's together... so fun.
Lydia and Brynlyn really enjoyed the play dough table!
My wonderful Grandparents who have built an amazing cabin for the family to hang out together!
The tiny kitchen was packed, potatoe peeling in progress!
Peyton in awe of the bubbles!
Brynlyn sharing a hug with Uncle Monty. She has a love hate relationship with him. So funny!

Very cool, Mr. T.
So enjoyed the quick trip to Utah, sad we came back to the heat!

This is what happened when...

Brynlyn refused to stop tipping the kitchen chair backwards!
A gash in the back of her head and blood everywhere. Very painful accident. I forgot to take a picture of the chair. The top wood piece is now cracked.
Ice pack and towel trying to stop the bleeding!
The bleeding slowed and we were able to take pictures. After Chad and Grammy got to the house we went to Quick Care and waited a couple hours. Peyton was good for Grammy, and we are so thankful she was able to hurry over and stay with her.
Brynlyn was very sad after 4 staples to the back of her head. She was so brave the entire time, but cried very hard when the doctor stapled her wound closed.
Poor girl has a large headache and is so grouchy. She is pretty upset that she can't finish swim lessons next week or get her head wet for a few more days.
Just lucky it wasn't worse!

Peyton is 1!

Peyton has changed so much in the past year! Her newborn picture taken at two weeks old by Paislee Jane Photography is so sweet.
A fun tradition I started at our house... When the birthday kid wakes up in the morning, I snap a candid shot of them for their birthday scrapbook. Right now it is cute and fun, but they may not like it when they are teenagers. I love seeing how my girls change and pictures are my favorite way to look back.

Brynlyn and Grandma Sharon decorated Peyton's highchair for her special day. Amazing work, huh? This cute girl is almost always smiling!

What's better than smiling faces in the morning?

A one year old trying to figure out why mom wants her to wear this weird contraption called a hat!

Brynlyn could not wait for present time. She eagerly opened the present she bought for Peyton and handed it over.

Peyton's funny face as she turns around to scale the stairs.

Simple but yummy birthday cakes and cupcakes!

Peyton and Torsten love Grandma's stairs, they bumped into each other often.

The birthday girl and her prizes!

Mmmmm, can I really eat this?

Peyton was so dainty with her birthday cake. She did push her leg into it a little. From the look on her face she was not happy to be sticky. But she enjoyed the sweet frosting and tried to share with everyone.

After a quick bath Peyton enjoyed the swing set with Grandma!

And this little dude Torsten, enjoyed the birthday hat!

Thank you to all who celebrated the girls birthday's with us. We had so much fun and are so spoiled. Can't believe our baby is 1!

Utah Vacation

We started our vacation celebrating birthdays and continued through the week. Mom and I spoiled Farah. We had fun chatting

while the kids thoroughly enjoyed the new swing set and sandbox built by my brother Kurt. Farah introduced me to a very cute fabric store that could be very addictive if I lived closer. We shopped, played, slept a little and just enjoyed the cooler weather.
Peyton loved climbing my parents fireplaces and was very pleased with herself each time!
The girls had many fun sleepovers. Grandma spoiled them with stories each night! Peyton did not sleep much without her own bed. The first few nights she and I were awake in the very early hours as the sun came up.
Grandpa and Grandma Great helped us celebrate Peyton's birthday!
Brynlyn loved the slip n slide! She even made it to the end a few times after realizing she could go farther if she did not land on her knees!
Torsten had a great time drinking and splashing the water. He is the cutest little man... I love how he taught Brynlyn to say "No Way".
Kurt got in on the fun and made a huge splash popping the slip n slide on his first try. Everyone was laughing and we got some great pictures of the backyard fun.
We celebrated this guy's birthday, still can't believe Damen is eight!
I think Kurt and Justin became bored! So Kurt gave Justin a new look!!
I'm not sure what my dad was up to on the deck? But he seemed very happy.
Cute Lydia testing out her brothers new magnifying glass.
Peyton and Grandma cheesing for the camera!
And the last night in Utah was spent with a relaxing visit at my Blackburn Grandparents. We had a great time. But very glad to be home, not feeling sick and no car troubles. More of Peyton's birthday pictures to come later!
