Christmas Day 2010

Christmas was super fun for us this year! Both girl's were very excited and loved opening, receiving and giving gifts. They were both a bit worn out and under the weather. But they put up with us dragging them all over and smiling for the camera a thousand times. Brynlyn was getting over a cold/ear infection, or so we thought. Peyton was just getting the cold that would last forever! I hate seeing my kids sick and miserable.
We celebrated the day the best we could with sick munchkins. Brynlyn loved talking about the birth of Jesus and said "his birthday was the best fun gift day ever". ;)
This year was very relaxing for me, I didn't put a lot of pressure on myself to get tons accomplished. It was great to focus on Jesus and teach my girls each day with the nativity advent calendar. Chad worked hard and got many things done on the honey do list. Our backyard is the best and we can't wait for warmer weather so we can run around on our new grass. Did I mention Chad gave me a weed wacker for Christmas(funny guy). Guess he is getting a serger or possibly a baby swing for his birthday!(hmm the possibility's)
I realized Christmas morning that it had been a couple days since I had thrown up with major nausea from this pregnancy. Best present ever, after 9 weeks of staying as close as possible to my bathrooms!!
On a less yucky note, we are truly blessed and had an amazing holiday! On to the pictures...
Super excited to get her own makeup from Santa. Peyton was in heaven with her new books.
The girls and the piles of presents.
So happy to be without clothes and a new ball to play with.
Brynlyn was so happy that dad liked the gift she picked out all by herself!
Playing inside the new tent that Grandma LeFevre spent many hours sewing!
After we finished Christmas at our house it was time to visit family. First stop was The Great Grandparents house, we checked our stocking and found surprises for each of us!
Peyton was happy just playing under Grammy's tree.
Most of the grandkid's lined up to open the first gift from Grampy and Grammy.
Love the new matching cozy coats for all the cousins!
Peyton loved the gift she received for the cousin exchange. She enjoyed the doll Binky for herself!

Christmas Eve 2010

Traditionally the nativity is done with just the cousins. Only this year we had a much smaller group on Christmas Eve. The parents got in on the fun.
Opening the first gift from Grampy and Grammy!
Peyton would have been happy un-decorating Grammy's tree. She loves the "ball, balls" and has broken a few at our house by throwing them across the room!
I forgot to get new pj's for Chad and I, luckily we had presents waiting for us at home from my parents! When we returned home there were a couple more traditional pajama gifts to be opened. The girls were very excited to have bright new pj's from Grandpa and Grandma LeFevre.
They also liked the new Christmas pj's from Dad and Mom. Super tired, but very excited they went to sleep. Both feeling sick and starting to cough pretty bad! We had so much fun and love all the great traditions with the family!

Baby #3

This is how I shared the surprising news with my husband!!! He may have guessed a few days before. I was having some interesting food cravings, and throwing up a few times a day.

Yard work is fun

Chad is a good sport to let his daughters in on the action.
With some help from my dad Chad got a shed started in the corner of the yard for lawnmower and other necessities. The girls were so happy to climb on top and check it out!
Peyton as usual can be found eating things she finds outdoors! While Brynlyn and I were busy picking weeds.
Our backyard is ready for sod after much hard work on Chad's part. He hauled more than 17 tons of rock out before hauling in new soil for grass.
The sod was delivered just before 5:00 am on Friday. That night when Chad got home from work, he finished up the sprinklers. And many other things to be sure we could start sod in the morning.
Saturday morning the work started. Bum cracks... Like Father, Like Daughter!
We had so much help it went super fast.
Grampy entertained the girls for a bit and even brought breakfast for everyone!
Peyton does not go outside without dumping a couple shovels full of dirt on herself.
Brynlyn was so excited to help, she was right in there working alongside the guys!
Love this picture, they were both working so hard and focused!
Almost done Bj, he hauled all the grass to the backyard!
Thanks to all our helpers the work was done in less than 2 hours, and we were able to do other great stuff with our weekend.
We could not have done it without you, thanks Bj, Bryson, Braden, Heeber and Grampy!
All the crazy rain we are receiving is wonderful for our new lawn.
Can't wait until we can play in our new backyard and bring in more dirt for my garden and play area.

Christ Supper

Cute cousin's smiling for the camera!
Our family enjoying a tradition that started long before I was in the family.
We sit on the floor and eat finger foods by candle light and listen to the story of Christ's supper.
A very fun evening with lot's of extended family.

Gingerbread house

Brynlyn and Grandma did most of the work(okay all the work) on the gingerbread house!
We make one each year, Brynlyn has always enjoyed the decorating part.
Peyton and Chad just ate the treats and entertained us.
I love the simple traditions like this!

Santa

Santa surprised us at our Ward Christmas party!
Brynlyn was very excited to talk with him, and explained that she needed a new makeup kit.
Peyton was excited from a distance. As soon as I placed her on his lap and stepped away... oops!
Love the picture, great job Jessica Leavitt.

Park time

Last week we had such beautiful weather. So, Even though I felt lousy we headed on a little outing to the park. It was great, the girls were so happy and being outside was very needed. Peyton is becoming very independent, she loved the park and wanted to run everywhere on her own.
Brynlyn repeatedly went down the steep slides.
Peyton tried to follow her sister, but got stuck often calling for help.

Brynlyn thought the reptiles around the park were awesome and posed perfectly in the center of this big snake. Can't wait to return to this park, so much fun.

Dressing up

This Holiday season has been crazy, but also a great time for me to relax and slow down a bit. I have made sure to spend extra time playing with the girls. Dress up is their favorite thing to play!
I think it's very cute that Peyton loves it so much. She wants to be pretty and loves to wear as many necklaces and bracelets as possible. Brynlyn loves that Peyton is such a great little doll to dress up.
So much fun having little princesses!

Nativity

Some very cute cousins getting prepared for the Nativity performance at the December family party.
Surprisingly... Peyton kept her entire outfit on including headpiece. She had fun watching all the other kids and just hanging out.
I think it's so wonderful that Grandma Worthen continues to hold Family birthday parties each month. It is so fun to let the kids play with many of their cousins each month and be close to family. We sure enjoy the family functions.
