St. Patricks

These two are so cute together!  I love when my kids get to play with their cousin's.
They have the best grandma in the world.
Brynlyn adores her Aunt's...  Farah put together some fun craft projects for the kids, and they had so much fun.
I forgot to pack green for my family... So Uncle Jared and Aunt Heather picked up clothes for us.
Love Utah vacations at my parents.  Good food, great people and so much fun!

Funeral Service

My sweet Grandpa Charles H. Blackburn's funeral service will take place on Friday, March 16, 2012,  1:00pm at the LDS church 500 W 400 N, Cedar City, UT.   The viewing will be Thursday 6-9:00, Friday 10:00- 12:30.
Grandpa and I had a very special relationship.  He always had a listening ear for me and a hug.  He was able to get special permission from the LDS prophet to seal Chad and I in the Las Vegas Temple seven years ago.  He disliked driving in such a large town, but told me he would be there for my special day.  How awesome it was to have him stand in the Temple and pronounce us Husband and Wife.
He was so amazing, talented and smart!  He spoiled me with his talent and made some amazing furniture.  I have a Cedar Chest, Crib and baby cradle.  Each time I sit down next to this beautiful cradle to rock my sweet baby I cry.

Grandpa Blackburn

I have so many wonderful memories of my Grandpa Blackburn.
He was such an amazing man.  I think of all the wonderful things he accomplished in his 83 years of life, and I'm amazed.  When my mom called this morning to tell me that he had a massive heart attack and did not make it, the tears came hard and fast!
I know that he is with my wonderful Grandma who passed away just four months ago.  I keep thinking of the sweet reunion they must be having and my tears are accompanied with a small smile.
It seems very surreal that I wont see him this spring when I go visit family.  I always enjoyed talking with him and getting a huge hug from his strong arms.  I look forward to celebrating his life with my family!

Organized

One thing that I enjoy is organizing and putting things where they belong.  My house has slowly become a very large mess since I was on bed rest with Miyah.  With three little girls toy's strewn about and piles of stuff.  We are slowly re-organizing our home so it's a happier clutter free place.
The new toy area is complete and the girls really enjoy it.  They can now put stuff away without to much assistance, and usually keep it in the play area.
Yucky snot allergies and some carrot's on this cute face.  My sweet baby has some serious food problems.  At six months we started her on baby rice cereal and had horrible results.  She violently threw up for a couple hours until the two tablespoons of cereal and her stomach acids had been evicted.  She is so happy, even after throwing up she was in my arms limp but smiling up at me.
We fed her a few different baby foods over time and had the same results almost ending up in the hospital.  After a blessing from my dad and husband Miyah was able to keep down some liquids and sleep.  We have been to many doctors appointments to figure out what is going on.
After torturous blood work we find out that her only food allergy is peanuts.  So the doctor thinks she has a food intolerance and can't digest anything but liquids.
While we continue to seek for answers, I am introducing new foods every few weeks and making them myself very runny!  After almost three months of trial and error, she can only tolerate a few foods.  Hopefully this is something that she can outgrow?
It has helped me to be somewhat more organized, now that I am forced to make all Miyah's food from scratch.  Now I know another reason why my Heavenly Father blessed me with the love/talent to be organized! ;)

Sight Words

We are so proud of our oldest daughter!  She has worked very hard to pass off sight words at school.  What a struggle it has been to get her to study and read.  Brynlyn is super smart, but did not want to apply herself.  So funny she actually told me she would rather watch TV.  Love how honest and sweet she can be.  She has some major allergies in this picture.  Her poor eyes were very swollen and red.

Trip and Home

Chad went on the yearly business/work trip for eight days in February. I need to get some pics from his trip... but for now I have pics of us when he was gone.  We were lucky to have my mom come stay with us for half the time.  So glad I had her help and company.
 Me and my girls.
Thanks to my wonderful mom, we made it to church in one piece.  9:00 am church is very tricky for me.
Brynlyn found the old style sponge rollers under the bathroom sink and had Grandma put them in Saturday night.
Bath time is a favorite at our house!

We missed the man of our house and so glad he is home.

Re-vamp

My hair was out of control... long, static crazy, and irritating me!
I was tired of buns, braids and ponytails.
So ta-da!!!  Chad's cousin Jessie cut 13" and gave me a fun lighter color.
I love it!  Still adjusting to the girl in the mirror, but it's great.  Added bonus of less headaches since I had it cut.

We also had Peyton's hair trimmed and she now has bangs!  They are short since Brynlyn chopped Peyton's hair super short.  But she looks cute with bangs.
She hated the whole experience.  Stephany and I took turns holding her so Jessie could successfully trim her hair.
